About The Event
Want to be a part of a meaningful conversation on death and the dying process?
Join us Wednesday, February 21st from 6-8pm at Black Rock Books for our first Death Café hosted by Death Doula and Funeral Celebrant, Amiyah King. Enjoy coffee and cookies as we talk about death in our respective cultures, communities and lives.
Whether you’ve recently lost someone you love, are anticipating losing a loved one or are grieving a loss, this space welcomes you to share your stories, feelings and opinions on death and the dying process.
We recognize that being at the portal of life Is a transformational moment, whether it happens at birth or death and these moments should be talked about candidly. Please be advised that this is not a grief support or grief counseling session, rather an authentic group conversation. Participants are not required to share their personal stories but are encouraged to engage in dialogue.
